FAQ
Can't find your answer? Leave a Merchant Inquiry.
Should I choose VAN or PG?
VAN fits if you want direct merchant contracts with card companies and take payments on an in-store terminal. PG fits if you sell online or want multiple payment methods with one contract. Tell us your business and how you sell, and we'll recommend the right option.
When do I receive PG settlements?
Star Payments deposits a lump sum to your settlement account in D+1–3 business days. The exact cycle is set in the merchant contract.
How are fees determined?
For PG, card company rates can be applied as-is or negotiated. We'll advise based on your business and volume.
Can I partially cancel a payment?
Yes. Through our HQ system you can cancel part of a customer's payment, handled by us without contacting each card company.
What if my card terminal breaks?
Report it to the Customer Center (1551-6541) and we'll dispatch a technician nationwide. We also reinstall when you move.
Can I get tax invoices for fees?
For PG, we issue monthly fee tax invoices, and input tax is deductible.
